What does a Salesforce dialer actually cost per user?
A Salesforce dialer's real cost is rarely the sticker price. Salesforce's own Sales Dialer starts around $5 per user per month, but that is inbound only; outbound and minutes stack higher, on top of a required Sales or Service Cloud license. Third-party CTIs commonly run $24 to $146 per user, unless you bring your own carrier account and pay rates directly. WorkDial is a Salesforce-native CTI platform that publishes one flat rate with AI call analysis and telephony included at carrier cost, so the sticker price is the real price.

The sticker price is not the real price
Salesforce's own dialer advertises a low entry number, but it is inbound only, and it rides on top of a paid Salesforce license. The published pieces stack up like this.
What the sticker hides
A required Salesforce license. The dialer rides on top of a paid Sales or Service Cloud seat.
Metered minutes. Calling time is billed on top, by the minute or in bundles.
Feature gating. Inbound, outbound, and analysis are often separate line items or higher tiers.
| What | Cost | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Sales Dialer, Inbound inbound only; billed annually | $5 / user / mo | Salesforce Sales Dialer pricing (as of 2026-06) |
| Sales Dialer, Outbound billed annually; US and Canada only | $25 / user / mo | Salesforce Sales Dialer pricing (as of 2026-06) |
| Sales Dialer, Minutes per org | $15 / 1,000 min | Salesforce Sales Dialer pricing (as of 2026-06) |
| Required Sales Cloud Enterprise license the dialer rides on top of this | $165 / user / mo | Salesforce Sales pricing (as of 2026-06) |
The alternative path: Service Cloud Voice
The other Salesforce route is Service Cloud Voice, which adds a per-user license plus per-minute telephony, usually routed through Amazon Connect.
| What | Cost | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Service Cloud Voice, your own telephony plus your own carrier minutes | $50 / user / mo | Salesforce Voice pricing (as of 2026-06) |
| Service Cloud Voice, per-minute inbound US; routed via Amazon Connect | $0.12 / min | Salesforce Voice pricing (as of 2026-06) |
| Service Cloud Voice, per-minute outbound US; routed via Amazon Connect | $0.35 / min | Salesforce Voice pricing (as of 2026-06) |
What it adds up to
Running Salesforce's own outbound dialer is about $30 per user per month (inbound at $5 plus outbound at $25), and it rides on top of a required $165 per user Enterprise license, for an all-in cost of about $195 per user per month, plus metered minutes at $15 per 1,000. Service Cloud Voice runs from $50 per user before its own per-minute telephony (about $0.12/min inbound, $0.35/min outbound). Either way, the number that matters is the all-in number, not the line item you click first.
What WorkDial costs
WorkDial publishes flat pricing: $$28, $$59, and from $$99 per user per month, billed annually, with AI call analysis included in the seat. Telephony runs on your own Twilio account at carrier cost, with no markup on minutes. The price on the page is the price you pay.
How to compare honestly
When you price any Salesforce dialer, add three things to the sticker: the Salesforce license it requires, the telephony minutes, and any feature gated to a higher tier. Compare those all-in numbers, and check where each tool stores your call data while you are at it. WorkDial writes calls to Salesforce as native objects (Call__c, Transcript__c) in real time and lets you choose where recordings live: native Salesforce Files in your org, your own Twilio, or your own cloud storage.
