Cookie Policy
- We use a small set of cookies on our website: analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used, one advertising cookie that measures which ad click led to a conversion, and cookies from our live chat.
- These are set when you first visit. We do not use them to build advertising profiles, and we never put personal details such as your name or email into them.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, and our bot protection and core site functionality keep working without them.
This summary is for orientation only and does not replace the full policy below.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, and help it work and improve. This policy also covers similar technologies such as local storage and pixels.
Why we use cookies
We use cookies on the WorkDial website only. The WorkDial product runs inside your Salesforce org and does not set marketing cookies on your visitors. Our website cookies keep the site secure and functional, for example spam protection on our contact form. Beyond that we use them for two things: to measure how the site is used, so we can see which pages help people and which do not, and to measure which ad click led to a sign-up. We do not use them to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not sell what they tell us.
Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary cookies for core site functionality, such as remembering that you have already answered an optional question on our trial form so we do not ask twice. These cannot be switched off. Our bot and spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) runs without setting a cookie. When you book a call, the email and phone number you entered are kept in your browser tab for the rest of that visit, so the booking step does not ask for them a second time.
- Analytics: we measure site usage with PostHog and Google Analytics (loaded through our tag manager). These set the cookies listed below so repeat visits are counted as one person rather than several. We record named events such as "pricing viewed", never the contents of what you type.
- Advertising: we use Google Ads only to measure which ad click led to a conversion, not to build advertising profiles and not to retarget you around the web. That is the single advertising cookie listed below.
- Functional: our live chat (Tawk.to) sets its own cookies so a conversation continues if you change page or come back. It is a third-party tool, described below.
Specific cookies used
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| wd_hear_asked | WorkDial | Remembers that you already answered the optional "how did you hear about us?" question, so the trial form does not ask again | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
| ph_* (PostHog) | PostHog | Recognises you across visits for usage analytics | Analytics | Up to 1 year |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors and sessions for usage analytics | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
| _gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures which ad click led to a conversion | Advertising | 90 days |
| __tawkuuid and related | Tawk.to | Keeps your live-chat conversation attached to you across pages and return visits | Functional | Set by Tawk.to under its own notice |
The analytics and advertising cookies above are set on your first visit. Our analytics is configured not to read the text of pages or forms and not to record your screen, so what reaches our analytics provider is a named event and a page address, not what you typed. We also ask that provider not to store your IP address. Bot and spam protection on our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which does not set a cookie in your browser.
Your cookie choices
You control cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you block cookies for a single site, block third-party cookies everywhere, delete what is already stored, or refuse them by default; the settings sit under Privacy in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. Blocking ours stops the analytics and advertising cookies listed above, and the site keeps working. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. If you would like us to delete analytics data associated with you, email privacy@workdial.io. The tool we embed (Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection on our contact form) is governed by the settings of that provider and your browser.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by a third party whose tool we embed or load: PostHog (usage analytics), Google Analytics and Google Ads (usage and conversion measurement, loaded through our tag manager), and Tawk.to (the live chat on our site). Each is governed by its own privacy notice, and each decides its own cookie names and lifetimes. Our bot and spam protection, Cloudflare Turnstile, runs without setting a cookie.
International transfers
Some cookie providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, an appropriate safeguard such as the Standard Contractual Clauses applies.
Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version. Questions? Email privacy@workdial.io.
